After I hit 50, I noticed my eyelashes getting sparser and falling out faster than they used to — and my eyes had turned itchy and dry. A little research told me I wasn't alone; it's a common change at this age. I wanted to do something about it, but mascara and lash extensions only irritated my already sensitive eyes, and the lash serums I tried were either hit-and-miss or clearly never made with mature, sensitive eyes in mind.

So I decided to formulate my own.

That first serum became erthlash™, built on a simple principle: natural, vegan and cruelty-free ingredients that come from Mother Earth. Natural doesn't mean less effective — it means all the nourishment without the harsh chemicals that sting a sensitive eye area. And it worked. My lashes came back fuller and stronger, and thousands of women have since grown theirs the same way.

But growing your lashes is only half the story. Once mine were back, I wanted to show them off — and I ran straight into the old problem. Every mascara I reached for either irritated my eyes or flaked by lunchtime, and none of them felt like they belonged next to something this gentle.

So, again, I made my own.
